I am able to work with you as a Doula in any place you have decided to have your baby. Whether it is at home, at a Birth Center or in any of the surrounding hospitals. I strive to make your birthing experience a positive one. Please contact me directly for availability and rates.

I am a 34 year old mother of 2. I have a daughter, Elizabeth who is 9, and a son, Andrew who is 6. I have been married for 11 years and have lived in North Yarmouth since 2000. I am also a stay at home mom.

I took the Doula course at the Ballard House in June of 2005. Since then I have attended numerous births including  Natural, Cesarean, and VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) births. 

 

~ Doula Services ~

I am able to travel to many areas from Scarborough all the way up to the Bath-Brunswick area. Anywhere within a 1 hour radius of North Yarmouth. If you are unsure if I will be able to include your town, please call me. If I am unable to, I can definitely refer you to another Doula who is in your area. I am also able to go to all of the local hospitals including, but not limited to, Maine Med, Mercy, Mid Coast, CMMC, and Parkview.

I am willing to work with you in whatever choices you have made. I will never install my own feeling or opinions, and will be there to support you in your decisions. Whether you have decided on having a planned cesarean, induction of labor, epidural or other pain relief, or a completely drug free birth, I will be able to help you with emotional, physical, and well as informational support to let you have the best birthing experience possible. I am also willing to work with whatever health care provider you have chosen, and will not get in the way of their advise. I am simply there to support you in all of your decisions.

As part of my services you will receive at least 2 prenatal visits, as well as my presence during your entire labor.  I will also remain for a few hours after birth until you are comfortable, and I am no longer needed. I then meet with you 2 times after your birth to answer any questions and to give you a copy of all pictures taken during your labor and birth as well as anything else that we have to share.
